In the world of self-funded healthcare, it can feel like we’re all set up for failure when trying to get members (employees and their families) the right type of healthcare without taking away all the profit margins of the business.
However, what we have found in our process of building out medical neighborhoods is that when better healthcare is delivered (top quality providers), the cost savings can be huge through more accurate diagnosis, significantly fewer errors and better care is given.
Cut out the crap, cut the costs

Let’s face it – not all providers are created equal.
With access to more intelligence on the performance and experience of providers than ever before, we can now build an exclusive and curated list of providers who are in the top percentiles of their practice. While most average members don’t have access to this information, it is available to organizations such as Vibrant Medical who analyze detailed quality standards.
We’re building out a carefully vetted list of providers that meet our meticulous standards, which avoid errors that notoriously drive up costs and create negative member experiences.
Support, care and guidance is key.
In the good ole days of healthcare, we build a great level of trust and collaboration with our primary care provider. They were the person to lean on for insights, knowledge, referrals, etc.
We’re not in those days any longer. Primary care physicians are mostly tied to large hospital systems, where they’re incentivised to refer specialists within their own hospital system and either due to time constraints or legal liabilities, they no longer have the time to give the care that is needed and deserved, so we’re left to do a lot of the work on our own, and incredibly frustrated.
In the newer models of cash-driven medical neighborhoods, it’s different. Through the support, care and guidance, Care Directors are the first line of support and driven to help members get access to the top providers with the top level of care.
Cash is king
The little known secret in healthcare is that when a member pays cash, they can save big. In the new model of healthcare, known as a cash-driven healthcare economy, companies leverage cash-payments up front to drive down unnecessary costs, with a focus on working only with top providers.
